Investment Arts and Culture

taubman museumMoving to the Roanoke Valley means being a part of a vibrant arts and culture scene. From live theatre – both professional and college-level – to opera and a world-class symphony, the area’s stages come alive with drama, comedy and music all year long.

Museums dot the region with subjects ranging from rail and transportation heritage, history, science and more. Famed photographer O. Winston Link chose the Roanoke Valley as the place where he wanted his work exhibited. The newly renovated Center In The Square houses five cultural arts and science non-profit organizations.

The area is a center for the visual arts. The stunning Taubman Museum of Art opened in 2008 and serves as an anchor to downtown Roanoke’s numerous art galleries. Frequent changing exhibits and special events make for a lively palate of arts in the region!
