Located at 324 Salem Avenue SW and across the street from the Virginia Museum of Transportation, The Candy Factory is downtown Roanoke’s newest residential offering. The three story building was built in 1917 to house The Peerless Candy Factory. It later became the Roanoke landmark nightclubs, The King’s Inn and then The Iroquois Club. In March 2007, 324 Salem Avenue became home – to people wanting to take advantage of the urban lifestyle in a beautifully renovated, historic property.
Condominiums at The Candy Factory feature tons of windows, exposed wood beam and brick construction, spiral ductwork, and sleeping lofts. Kitchens feature stainless steel appliances, solid cherry cabinets, and brown granite countertops. Condos on the first floor have stained concrete floors, and units on the upper floors have refinished hardwood floors.
